lying...

i've had alot of time to think over the past 3 days
while lying
in my bed barely able to move

i have been thinking about the purpose
the quality
the meaning of my life and everything in it

i suppose for the most part i "get" it
but

well

the only conclusion i can surely come to is that it is severely lacking

...in human contact and united purpose
...in action and in deed
...in daily ritual and leisure
...in pragmatism and romance
...in religion and spirituality
...in physical work and pleasure

all that really matters to me is passing me by every day
while i lie
